Dr. Meredith Stewart is a Clinical Assistant Professor with the IU Columbus Nursing Program. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2015 and her Master of Science in Nursing in 2019, both from Ball State University. She later completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Indiana State University in 2024, where her project focused on developing clinical judgment skills among nursing students.
Dr. Stewart brings a diverse clinical background to her teaching, with experience in step-down care, critical care, long-term care, emergency nursing, and resource pool nursing. She has worked at both Ball Memorial Hospital and Columbus Regional Hospital.
She joined IU Columbus as an adjunct faculty member in January 2021 and transitioned to a full-time role in August 2021. Outside of work, Dr. Stewart enjoys traveling with her husband and three children.
