Dr. Laura Watson has been a member of the IU Columbus School of Nursing faculty since 2014 and serves as the Director of Accreditation and Placements for the nursing program. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Southern Indiana, where her doctoral project focused on improving nursing care for infants with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome.
Dr. Watson brings extensive clinical experience to her role, having worked as a staff nurse in labor and delivery units for 23 years and as a Clinical Nurse Educator for six years.
In addition to her teaching and leadership responsibilities, Dr. Watson is active in community volunteer work and maintains membership in several professional nursing organizations.
