Dr. Caroline Sims earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Indianapolis and her Master of Science in Nursing and PhD from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis. Her doctoral research focused on the transition of new graduate nurses into professional practice.
Dr. Sims brings more than thirty years of leadership experience in healthcare, along with over a decade of experience as adjunct faculty in both bachelor’s and master’s level nursing programs. Her professional background includes extensive work in clinical quality, regulatory compliance, and accreditation.
Her professional interests include leadership in nursing and healthcare, the professional practice of nursing, clinical quality and regulatory standards, mentoring and workforce development, and supporting new graduate nurses as they transition into practice.
